Most recruitment connectors let an assistant read your own database. Floats covers what happens next: presenting candidates to clients and knowing what each client did with them.
Connect Floats to Claude and you can check on your floats, find candidates and follow up with clients. You don't need to open another tab to do it.
Connector address
Connect in three steps
Before you start
- Floats plan. The connector works on every Floats plan, including Free.
- Claude plan. You need a Claude plan that supports custom connectors. On Claude Team or Enterprise, an organisation owner may need to add the connector before members can use it.
- Claude only. The connector works with Claude today, but not other providers.
- 1
Open Claude's connector settings.
In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- 2
Add Floats.
Name it Floats and paste
https://app.floats.ai/mcp, then choose Add. - 3
Sign in and allow.
Choose Connect, sign in to Floats, tick the acknowledgement and choose Allow access.
That's it. In a new chat, turn on Floats from the tools menu and ask your first question.
Example questions
Five things to ask
“Which floats went quiet this week?”
Shows the candidates you've presented that clients haven't opened or acted on, so you know who to chase.
“Who has opened the float I sent [client] for [candidate]?”
Shows engagement on a single float: opens, clicks and replies.
“Which clients engaged most with my floats this month?”
Shows where your warmest client relationships are right now.
“Where has [candidate] been presented, and how did each client respond?”
Gives a candidate's full history with your clients in one answer.
“Find candidates in my Floats account with [skills] experience.”
Searches your own candidates without leaving the conversation.
Access
What it can and cannot touch
It can:
- Read the candidates, contacts, jobs and floats your Floats account can see, including how clients engaged with them (opens, clicks and replies).
- Run reports on your recruiting activity.
- Make changes when you ask it to. For example, it can create or update candidates, contacts and floats, and prepare and send email campaigns.
It cannot:
- See beyond your permissions. It works within your own account and team.
- Show Floats screens inside Claude. Answers come back as text, with links to open a float in Floats.
- Remember your earlier requests. Floats handles each request on its own. Claude keeps track of the conversation.
Changes are real. When you ask the connector to create, share or send something, it does it in your Floats account, so be specific. Review anything client-facing in Floats before you send it.
